The new breed of journalist is in the forefront of efforts to improve local news coverage, and help to mitigate the threat to the democratic process. Our aim is to raise unprecedented funds to strengthen proven solutions, as well as eradicating long-standing inequities within journalism coverage and practice.




Recent graduates and students recently inaugurated Austin Harvest, the Austin Harvest produce market at the permanent location this week, providing artistic and social interaction to an area once known for its gun violence. WBEZ's Jackie Kostek visited to speak with the company's founders, who have described their mission not just as providing food, but rather creating an environment that is more welcoming as part of their goal.
