In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one spot rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It was able to capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot do this. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

The j7+, though not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and isn't able to clean the stairs, is still a good option for those who want both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to know whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.

It keeps track of the items it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. If it requires a recharge, it automatically returns to its base and resumes cleaning where it started.

The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, has the same battery life and is more effective on bare floors or low-pile carpet.
