World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items can be used to boost the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade you choose, it may increase the rarity of an item or mark Level and boost additional stats.

Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increase when it is upgraded. This is the sum of all the upgraded perks (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades can be costly, depending on who you hire and what you do. This is because of how many perks must be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.

The level of an item is a popular measurement of power and can be found on all tooltips of items. It is also used to determine a gating condition when queueing for dungeons, scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is capped at a lower level). The average level of the item can be found on the character sheet.

Using the item upgrading level can help players evaluate the strength of equipment when choosing to buy or sell. It's an excellent indicator of an item's quality and the amount of damage it will be able to deal. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller can be done by using the item level.

On PC, you are able to check the level of the item by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will show the item's full description, including the ilvl. It is also accessible by hovering an item with the mouse cursor, and then typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are many theories about how the level of an item is calculated. One theory states that the item level is calculated by a formula that calculates the worth of an item's stats really are. It takes into consideration the fact that different perks have different values and gems in sockets increase the item's overall value. This can result in a calculated value for the item's level, which is usually quite close to the actual Blizzard item level.

This isn't the only factor that affects the level of an item. The degree of the area in which the item was dropped can alter its stats. For example, it could increase the item's haste or crit score. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have higher ilvl.

Item Stats

The stats of an item are a major component of what makes or breaks an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the Best item upgrader." The base stats of a weapon are increased by the weapon's stat mods that are in turn increased by the player's skill.

The upgrades to an item can increase its stats. The cost of upgrades is determined by the rarity of the item. An item that is white or grey for instance, will only be upgraded one time and items with rare tiers may be upgraded multiple times with more expensive costs.

Another method to alter the stats on an item is to use affixes. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and are available in all shapes and sizes. The affixes can be used to provide items with extra damage, special capabilities (such as reviving dead or reducing cooling downs) or to distinguish them by naming them.

All affixes are being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a certain amount of gold as well as items, which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as the other options for rerolling.

Players can choose to upgrade an item to a specific stat, or reroll affixes. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However each item will have at least one stat in the range, unless they are a unique item or a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

This is another thing that could be altered by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to enhance. Similar to base equipment, it would have to be done per item, and the item comparison interface would not display all the possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player stacks up to increase the odds of item discoveries, the properties spawned on loot drops and the intensity of the properties. It doesn't, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player the chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game. This is particularly advantageous in early game runs since players tend to prioritize the scaling of weapons and defenses over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chances of success when upgrading items with the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chances of upgrading that increase with each new level of item. They can also be enhanced by using anti-materials like the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons can spawn or be crafted by using the Luck property, with a default value of 40. These items can then be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to grant an additional +40 Luck, or to increase the Luck of the item up to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon that is infused with hollow, can also be equipped to increase the damage of any skill that deals damage by 5percent. These items can be bought in the shop or constructed using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are expensive and not all upgrades will succeed. Cash shop items can be used to boost the chance of success of an upgrade or to prevent players from losing their item if it is not successful.

The success rate of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of completing the upgrade successfully, and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limits to the extent to which the success rates can be improved and the chance of an upgrade failing can't be greater than 100%..

The luck of an item may influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. Every item has a base success rate of 25%, and every item that has Luck increases that chance by five percent.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the items in the inventory which means that enchantment glints and other effects may be masked by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
