The official list below outlines the time slots that are reserved - not exams that have been confirmed. Please confirm with your instructor whether or not the final exam for a course will be scheduled during this time.

Be sure to read all the Goethe exam conditions and guidelines on each exam's page prior to making a decision to register. Also, make sure you sign up for the right exam level.

Locations

The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification exams. Exam pages for each exam are available for additional guidelines, terms and conditions and exam content. If you require special accommodations due to chronic illness, hearing or visual impairment or other disabilities Contact the exam provider and provide the documentation when registering.

Faculty can view their exam times by using the "View My Teaching Schedule" task on the Faculty Dashboard in Workday. In addition, the Registrar's Office has a list of exam times for classes where an exam is required by NYSED regulations. Final exams for classes in the evening are scheduled during the regular class meeting times of the final exams.

Registration

The exam schedule is accessible on the internet, and students are advised to review it. However it is crucial to note that the exam schedule could change at any time. Therefore, students should check with their instructors to ensure that they have the correct date and time for their test. Students should also print the official list of questions to bring with them to their exam.

Students must also familiarize themselves with the guidelines and terms of the exam in addition to the schedule. They are available on the exam's individual page. Students acknowledge having read and accepted the terms and conditions upon registration.

If a student is scheduled to take three examinations scheduled on the same day, it is suggested that they contact their department or instructor to arrange an alternate exam. It is possible to take three examinations on the same day. However, this can result in a lot of stress and impact the quality. The instructor may not be able give an opportunity to take a makeup test on a different day.

Students must go through their course material before taking the exam and practice their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test that tests your ability to read, speak, and write German. The results of the test are given using a scale of A1 to C2. Students who successfully pass the test receive a Goethe-Zertifikat. You will have to pay a fee for Egzamin A1 the examination in order to obtain the Goethe-Zertifikat (start German 1) after you have completed your Elan Academy studies. This is in addition to the cost of the course.
