We had the chance to test the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway, and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth over ruts and bumps, while the EV9 is a master of suppressing road noise and wind on the highway. The acceleration is quite quick and the vehicle has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one pedal driving" by lifting off of the accelerator.

The EV9 offers a great range and can be charged in just three hours or less at home, or by using any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two modes of operation that include eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode focuses on torque and cruise control, as well as handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and offer an unforgettable experience for those who haven't been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.

GreenPower is already producing around 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration looking to electrify school buses nationwide, GreenPower plans on ramping up production to meet demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, green energy mobility scooters Buy America compliant, and ADA certified.
